Wahu are super excited to announce that Surfer Dudes have been named the Outdoor Toy of the Year in the 2015 Toy & Hobby Retailer Industry Awards.

Toy & Hobby Retailer has been on the forefront of the Australian toy industry for almost 80 years. Their Industry Awards “recognise and rewards business and product excellence in the local toy and hobby industry.”  These awards are nominated by the retailers themselves, which gives manufacturers valuable industry recognition.

Surfer Dudes are the world’s first self-surfing, self-righting toys that are powered by waves. Their internal ballast system, combined with the hydro-boomerang technology and the unsinkable foam boards, keeps them upright when they’re in the surf.

They were an absolute hit in the 2015/16 Summer, but you can still get your hands on one via our online store. Choose from a range of colours & characters including Bells Beach Ben, Margaret River Max, Snapper Rocks Sam, Noosa Ned or Bondi Bec.
